HITO is people. So How many people ?. Then answer is ” 2 people “.
TYOKO RE-TO is chocolate. How many chocolates ? It’s 6 pcs.
1pcs ” ひとつ “. 2pcs ” ふたつ “…. you can read and memorize until ten ” とう “. those words is used when we count the some staffs. But you don’t use for counting the people and some animals, and thin staffs like paper. Only use instead of ” 〜個 “ words.
So,,, I give you a quiz bellow. How many people ?
- ” さんにん です “ SAN NIN DESU.
- ” よにん です “ YONIN DESU.
Is this Okay ? . Then… How about number 3 ? Can you count ?
In this case, we say ” たくさん です “ TAKU SAN DESU. TAKU SAN meaning, many. There are many people. So ” たくさん “ .
About unit. For people is used ” にん “. SAN NIN, ” さんにん “ YO NIN ” よにん “.
Then how about book ? This is ” さつ “. ” いっさつ ” ” にさつ ” ” さんさつ ” ” よんさつ ”.
About clothes. ” ちゃく “ . ” いっちゃく ” ” にちゃく ” ” さんちゃく ” ” よんちゃく ”.
About coffee. ” ぱい,はい,ばい “ . ” いっぱい ” ” にはい ” ” さんばい ” ” よんはい ”.
About shoes. ” そく “ . ” いっそく ” ” にそく ” ” さんそく ” ” よんそく ”.
About car and bike. ” だい “ . ” いちだい ” ” にだい ” ” さんだい ” ” よんだい ”.
We are done in today’s lesson. About figure , If you make mistake the figure, it might be someone make trouble. So until you are familiar them, better you show the figure using your fingers or showing to take on a note.
