Today’s lesson is about introducing your friend to someone he did not meet even before. When your friends meet someone, you know, they might be uneasy. You should do the move to introduce your friends with them smoothly, by then, they can build a good relationship easily. Let’s start doing.

Recap of previous lesson, WATASI WA (NAME) DESU.” わたし は (NAME) です。” WATASI is ” I “. That’s why, just words instead of WATASI. When your friend is male,” KARE “, About female ” KANOJYO “

And Japanese rule,” (NAME) + “SAN” Let’s site an example: Annie san, Tom san. In Japanese language, we put ” SAN ” after the name. Both in male and female, you can use this word either.

In English, it’s opposite. Mr, is addressed for male and Miss or Mrs. for female and must be put before the names. Going back to Japanese introduction, below are the examples:

KARE WA ( NAME ) DESU. ” かれ は ( NAME+SAN ) です。”

KANOJYO WA ( NAME ) DESU. ” かのじょ は ( NAME+SAN ) です。”

Let’s introduce your friends to someone.

We have one more sentence, DARE DESUKA ” どなた ですか “ meaning, who is (he or she)? If someone asked this, you may introduce your friends. Even though not for friends, like your wife, your kids, you can also use,” KARE or KANOJYO WA (NAME WITHOUT SAN) DESU. For family members, you should omit SAN.

Note: When you want to introduce to someone, do you use your finger? In here, we did not do this. Pointing fingers while introducing to someone is a rude gesture or improper.

Noticed: When you want to indicate to someone, do you use your finger? In here, This is rude with pointing your finger. You should use your palm.
