If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, there is Tagaytay. The nearest place outside Manila and one of the often- visited place especially in summer. A magnificent site to visit in the Philippines.
Just one bus ride and took around 3 hours, passing the expressway of the South. Could either be South Luzon Expressway or Cavite Expressway. Very accessible to commute. If you want to use a bus, you can go to Paranaque Integrated Terminal Express (PITX). A bit near to Mall of Asia. Bus fare is around 3 to 4 USD. Every weekend, there are more local tourists and foreigners have been there, unwinding and enjoying the cool weather, eating the local or any kinds of delish to different restaurants with fascinating views and cool breeze, sipping a cup of coffee which is perfect for cold weather and horseback riding to complete the adventure. Temperature during summer is around 27C.
Tagaytay is considered as one of the tourist spots in the Philippines because of the overlooking Taal Volcano, known as “the world smallest active volcano,” in the lake. You will get fascinated and enchanted of the place. It is very nice for sight-seeing because it is surrounded by nature. Such a wonderful place to be. Living in Tagaytay is everyone’s dream. The only factor to consider is the cost of the property. It is not affordable for ordinary people. Rest houses and resorts are there, but accommodation cost is quite high. Almost the same rate in elegant hotels in Manila, but if you want a full relaxation, Tagaytay is perfectly fit for you.
Also, there are many beautiful promenades from within. There is a “Palace in the Sky” where you can see the views of the place under because it is in high land area as thought you can touch the sky. You can do picnic too because there are cottages to occupy. Including “Picnic Grove” that let you able see the volcano clearly and do horseback riding for more fun and adventure.
“Twin Lakes” is also one of the famous promenades in Tagaytay. In there, there are restaurants and stores for tourists. You can choose according to your tastes. I want to stay in Starbucks every time I was there, and I prefer to occupy the space outside while enjoying my coffee because of the fresh and cool breeze and can connect with nature. If you want to transfer to another promenade, there are jeepneys that will take you there.
Surely, you will not regret if you visit, and you will keep coming back once you experienced and explored the beauty of the place. I will not hesitate to recommend Tagaytay with my fellow tourists can either be locals or foreigners. Everything that you want is there. Nice weather, beautiful nature, high rise condominiums and hotels, malls, resort, restaurants, amusement park. etc. A must place to visit.
