There are many kinds of NIGHT BUSES here. We sometimes use them for saving money. Mainly, departure time is before midnight, around 7 PM to 12:00 AM, then arrival time is early in the morning, around 5AM to 8AM.

Check it before booking.
It may save your money for the Hotel and transportation fare also instead of stopping for accommodation. This is normally cheaper than Shinkansen.

Regarding KOSOKU BUS, their departure and arrival spots are in Shinjuku, Ikebukuro station vicinity, airports, hotel fronts, onsen areas, sightseeing spots, Disneyland and other theme parks.
Of course, you can choose to arrange your seats. I recommend bigger seats and have enough space if possible because seat size is smaller than Shinkansen. In the bus, the foot rest is narrow and limited.
This is applicable for young commuters, but for seniors, they must check first before they book because it is not quite comfortable to ride for long hours. It feels so tiring after getting off.
